Meet Nelson
This is my Why!
This Blog is intended to be a comfort to all those older than dirt friends out there. I find that the challenges of this new technology are helpful in keeping my mind from morphing into a pile of mush. Like many, my life has had profound changes since my youth. Writing about these changes brings comfort and direction as I complete my life’s journey though this “Garden of Good and Evil”. I don’t want it said that I had a lot to share but was too indifferent to world to reach out with any nugget that would be a help or benefit to others.
What can you expect from this Blog?
Mostly I will be posting events from my life hopefully with a Tongue in Cheek humor. My many left turns has taught me that I certainly am not a shinning example of successful living. But this I do know, what I have learn will help somebody who might be going though a struggle today. From time to time I will be enlisting individuals to co-author a post here either by video or a written entry. The repository of wealthy information is endless with the age of the Internet and I want to avail myself of this vast bank of knowledge and pass it on to others.
Now let’s get on with the rest of the story of my life.
The year was 1937 when I entered the world. My brother chides me about my memory. He tells everyone I remember what the Doctor was wearing and what his first words were to me. I’m not sure about that but I do have a remembrance of World War II. Many of my previous blogs speak to these early years. It seems strange to think that I saw beginning of Television, Jet Aircraft. Things that are so common that we forget the impact they had on our culture. I’m also hesitantly posting some pictures here of my youth. Don’t laugh, I bet there are some gems in your past also.
The Bigger Picture
The big picture here is I want to pass on what I have learned and in return I want to learn from you what you have learned. That’s where the comments come in on each page. Don’t neglect them, You do matter and your comments are appreciated.

Wow Nelson
You do have a nice Blog. I have not had time to read it all but some of it is really funny.

Hi Nelson, I love your posts. Like me, you write from your heart and soul. I often wonder what its like to live so long you literally see so many different phases of life and historical events like you mention above. I guess in time I’ll find out. I like to think I’m half way through and already I too have seen history being made. I enjoyed your video & I like your style. It’s warm and inviting. Thanks for being an inspirational blogger and for coming into my corner of this amazing world and journey we call life. I look forward to sharing more with you. Deb

Thanks Jessica for stopping by. A friend often says “the stories in our mind will be the stories of our life” If we only knew how our thoughts affect our potential.

I read that book, As A Man Thinketh, many years ago. At that time I was so impressed that I gave the book as a gift to two friends who were heavily into trading in the stock market. Both actually laughed at me, thinking the book was somewhat beneath their intellectual prowess. How wrong they were. What a delight that you are sharing this wonderful book with us.

Erica, isn’t it ironic that the little things in life confound some the most. I always am pleased to see you here. I mark you as a true friend.

Hi Nelson,
Your blog and style is astounding! Very comfortable here.
Mary Lou Kayser sent me here…cause I am older than dirt I bet. She spoke very highly of you and your work during the Marketing Funnel Mastery event in Portland this past week end.
I’ll be back…
Warm regards,
Jerry

Older than dirt, eh. Could you be that kid that my buddy Moses use to talk about? Doc, say Hi to my kooky and lovable friend Mary Lou. I’m glad you dropped in, come back any time.

You’ve got a pretty darn good handle on all this technology and the internet.
You can be very proud of all your endeavors here and Dave and I are so happy to have you as part of our TSA family.
We look forward to more of your excellent story-writing skills.

Nelson,
I have not read your introduction before. I love your beginning statement “to all those older than dirt friends.” Your tongue in cheek style makes us laugh at ourselves and feel immediately much lighter about our current life dramas.
Thank you for being you and for sharing such delightful content each week.

Pretty nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!

I LOVE your blog, Nelson! You’re a great story writer. You could write book! I’m curious about one thing, though. Why do you refer to yourself as JUST an old man, or an old fool? I see a lot of wisdom in your posts, that will be appreciated by many.

Hello Nelson,
This is my first visit to your blog. It is very well done and you are truly an inspiration to, as you say, “older than dirt” friends out there. You’ve had a phenomenal life! You carry the memories of a special time in our history. You were able to live when we were so much more innocent. Gee you actually had to do chores when you were a child!
Welcome to TSA and I will enjoy visiting your blog. “The years in your life are less important than the life in your years. The years teach what the days never know.~Ralph Waldo Emerson
